SoCalGas Customers and Alternative Gas Suppliers
What changes — and what doesn't — when a SoCalGas customer buys gas supply from a Core Transport Agent.

What stays the same
SoCalGas continues to deliver gas, maintain pipelines, read meters, and respond to emergencies. Customers typically still receive a SoCalGas bill.
What changes
The gas supply charge on your bill reflects your chosen supplier's price instead of the SoCalGas procurement rate. The specific contract governs the price, term, and any fees.
Verifying a supplier
Ask any supplier or representative for their registration information and written contract terms. Legitimate representatives will not claim to work for SoCalGas.
